The 50/50 Rule

Using Cherry Wood: Some of my smoking buddies and I have done some interesting testings on wood and smoke rings. Everyone of us will have a different opinion on what is the best wood to use on which foods and of course we all have our own favorite wood for flavor. BUT! the one thing that we believe to be ture and have tested several times is this: By adding 50% of your wood as cherry wood the smoke ring will be more pronounced in color from the light red tint in the smoke! So I say no matter what you are using for wood try the 50/50 rule and enjoy the smoke!! I prefer 50% Sugar Maple and 50% Cherry wood.
