Chef Richard has taught over 600 classes with over 14,000 students in the past 10 year at The Culinary Center of Kansas City and Smoke n Fire. He has over 20 different Grilling and Smoking, from 2 hour to 4 hour demonstration classes to 4 hour "hands-on classes. Chef Richard specializes in teaching the Art of Smokology and BBQ. Together Chef Richard and Laura O'Rourke have formed the Midwest Barbecue Institute at the Culinary Center of Kansas City in downtown Old Overland Park.
